Joel brought home yet another St. Jordi prize! He won first place for the 5th grade English story. Although it's a short text, it's really good!
My Homework Adventure
"Go do your homework," said Dad. I groaned.
"Just a few more minutes, Dad." "No means no, now do your homework."
I got up and went to my room. I turned on my computer, got the paper and sat on my chair. While I waited I read my homework. I had to look in Internet for the food diet of a hippopotamus. When I clicked on the Internet icon something strange happened.
The icon grabbed a rope with a hook and threw it at me. The hook grabbed me and pulled me into the computer.
"What are you doing to me?" I shouted. And then to my surprise the icon talked to me.
"We are the megaicons. We brought you here to save us from the pirate virus who is destroying all the computers in the world."
"So where are they?" I asked.
"That's what we don't know. But trust me, it will be fun finding out."
And he got a surfboard out of nowhere. "We are going to surf the Internet."
And that's how my adventure started.
